United Express began service to BIH in December 2021 when they moved commercial flights from Mammoth Lakes/Yosemite Airport (MMH) to the Bishop Aiport (BIH) located just 2 miles east of downtown Bishop, CA. Fly into Bishop Airport and be climbing, skiing and exploring Inyo County.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

By Taxi, Shuttle or Rental Car

From Eastern Sierra Regional Airport (BIH) in Bishop, CA, several transportation companies will provide service from Bishop to Mammoth Lakes. Rental cars are also available at the Bishop Airport, but we recommend the ground transportation option if you’re headed to Mammoth, as once you arrive, a car is unnecessary. Check back for details. New shuttle services are set to begin in December.

Eastern Sierra Transit Authority

Sierra Shuttle Service (BISHOP/MAMMOTH)

RENTAL CARS AT BISHOP AIRPORT

Rental cars are the best option if you’re staying in Bishop. Pick up is available at the Eastern Sierra Regional Airport  with Enterprise Car Rentals and National Car Rental. Supply is LIMITED, reservations are strongly recommended. Call ahead to confirm your reservation!

BISHOP AIRPORT

Bishop Airport (IATA: BIH, ICAO: KBIH, FAA LID: BIH) is a public airport located two miles east of Bishop, in Inyo County, California, United States. It is owned by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works and operated by Inyo County.

The airport is located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range, at an elevation of 4,124 feet.

BIH airport is primarily used by general aviation aircraft, but it is also served by United Express, which offers direct flights to San Francisco and Denver. The airport is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, as it is located near a number of national parks and recreation areas, including Death Valley National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park and Yosemite National Park.
