With a mix of scenic drives, hikes, and stunning viewpoints, this adventure promises to showcase the park’s dramatic landscapes and keep you on the go all day long. Feel free to adjust the itinerary depending on your energy, desired activity levels, and weather/heat.
Begin in Stovepipe Wells

Sunrise at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes

Midday Exploration at Badwater Basin

Description: Visit Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level. Walk out onto the expansive salt flats, observing the polygonal salt formations and a vast landscape.

Distance: 7 miles north on Badwater Road, then a short gravel road to the site.

Description: Explore the rugged terrain of Devil’s Golf Course, an area covered with large salt crystal formations. Listen carefully, and you might hear the popping sounds of salt crystals expanding and contracting.

Sunset at Zabriskie Point

Drive to Stargazing Location
