Bishop folks head to the airport for a day of fireworks and fun, topped by a major fireworks display at dark, visible from throughout the town. Independence Day in Independence includes an easy-to-enter parade at 10 a.m., arts and crafts in front of the Courthouse. In Dehy Park, there are kids games, Methodist Women’s Pie Sale, and a deep-pit, roast beef feast, capped by fireworks at the airport.
