Hot Springs

Keough’s Hot Springs, a few miles south of Bishop is one of several fun “off the beaten path” places in Inyo County. The RV Private Campground at Keough’s has a lovely shady grass area and the owners have added environmentally friendly tent cabins that are open year-round.  Keough’s Hot Springs Pool is the largest natural hot springs pool in the Eastern Sierra.  This aqua blue pool is heated naturally from 600 gallons of 127°F water that flows from the ground and into the pool each minute.  The therapeutic values of these waters have attracted travelers for over a hundred years, as it became a health resort in 1919.

Tecopa Hot Springs ancient geothermal waters are a top draw for visitors to Tecopa.  The park features a campground with restroom facilities, showers, two bathhouses with separate enclosed men’s and women’s hot mineral pools, a small private pool, play equipment and a community center. Rock hounds will enjoy looking for amethysts, opals and petrified wood in the nearby area. There are more than 100 camping spaces. Some electrical hookups are available.
